Anyone who’s read (and enjoyed) the books will love this movie. It moves much faster than the first (in my opinion) and “Bella” doesn’t have her mouth hanging open as much! (A peeve of mine – 90% of the time Kristen Stewart’s mouth is hanging open. I think she must have really bad allergies. It still annoys me. I think she’s a very pretty girl and an ok actress but the wide open trap bugs.)

I do feel the insta-love Jacob feels for Bella is a little too…instant. It did feel a little more built up in the book but I guess not alot. And they do a good job of showing how depressed Bella gets and her slowly coming out of it after forming a friendship with Jacob.

And for some reason people were complaining because they leave the end open for the next one. Duh. I guess they haven’t read the books

A friend’s girlfriend who I don’t know said they left something major out. I have no idea what it was. So obviously I didn’t notice it.

My 1 complaint – I think the CGI werewolves look terrible. They put me in mind of the wolfy thing in The Neverending Story – which is approximately 20 years old, well before the CGI advances we have now. I hated the wolves. Either use CGI to make real wolves look big and like they’re interacting with the other characters or have people dressed up as wolves for the scenes. It just looked bad.

  1. Hello ! =)

I really agree with you : I think people who loved the book would loved the movie.
But one friend of my didn’t like the movie but she loved the book, haha.

Anyway, I think they did a great job with that movie. And I loved the fact that Bella writes e-mails to Alice ! That was a great idea !

  2. Really? It surprises me that someone would dislike it who liked the book. I thought it did a great job getting the book into movie form. I liked the Alice emails too. It was a great way to get Bella’s feeling since the movie isn’t quite as first person as the book.
